Here are some of the people we've worked with:
LIST OF ORGANIZATIONS
La Posada Providencia:
A refugee shelter for immigrants seeking political asylum. When we visit La Posada, our members work in several stations: from going to the garden and pulling out weeds, to going inside and placing donations on shelves. Members are also found playing with the children and taking care of them!
Spanish Meadows:
A nursing home where our members interact with the elderly and make new friends. Our visits include exciting games of Loteria, a fun variety of art tools to make beautiful work, and amusing times with board games.
Hands and Hearts Fundraiser:
An annual event that serves as La Posada's main fundraiser. Before the event, members are trained so that they may be prepared for the day. Upon arrival, we are spread and placed in various stations. SHH members are found every where that day: whether it be as an usher, a helper at the silent auction, or as ticket-sellers.
Outcry in the Barrio:
Every year, SHH holds a non-perishable food drive to give to Outcry in the Barrio.
