On April 28, 2018, our Sociedad members and newly inducted members continued the year-long Make a Difference Day Project, "Being a Good Neighbor". Sociedad visited the Good Neighbor Settlement House to complete the Thrift Shop Project in which we held a school drive to collect hygienic items that were delivered to the GNSH. Apart from this, the other half of our members took inventory of the GNSH and organized the food pantry.

On February 17, 2018 the members of Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica continued the year-long "Being a Good Neighbor" Make a Difference Day Project. Our members painted the shed, and the inside of the Good Neighbor Settlement House office.

I Matter Workshop 2018
At the end of I Matter Week on February 9, 2018, students were able to attend the I Matter Workshop.The Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica members were able to give presentations about self-love and mental health as well as have coordinating activities.

I Matter Week 2018
The week of February 5-9 Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica hosted the annual "I Matter Campaign" in which we helped others celebrate positivity. Every day had a different activity in which students were able to participate and bring awareness to positive mental health.

Hands and Heart Fundraiser
On February 3, 2018, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica volunteered at the annual La Posada Providencia's Hands and Heart Fundraiser. Our members assisted with selling tickets, collecting donations, and greeted guests at the door. All of the profits made in the fundraiser will go to La Posada Providencia, a home for refugees seeking help.
On February 3, 2018, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica volunteered at the annual La Posada Providencia's Hands and Heart Fundraiser. Our chapter is starting off the new year strong! On January 13, 2018 our members continued the year-long "Make a Difference Day" project with the "Being a Good Neighbor: Garden Project", in which they planted several vegetables.

"Stuff the Bus" 2017
On December 16, 2017, the 54 drawstring bags that Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica put together were successfully driven to Rockport,Texas. The students of Rockport Fulton High School will benefit from the supplies, and we hope that we are making their journey to recover a little bit easier one step at a time.

On November 4, 2017, Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica volunteered at Sabal Palms Sanctuary. Sociedad members cleared tree branches to reveal a beautiful butterfly garden. Others cleared the flower gardens from weeds. Sociedad left Sabal Palms looking great! It was a great experience in which we learned a little bit of history and bonded over lunch.

On October 28, 2017 Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica participated in the nation wide "Make A Difference Day." Our members carefully planned and prepared months in advance for our original project "Being A Good Neighbor." We began the one year "Make A Difference Day" project by teaming up with the Good Neighbor Settlement House and creating a new garden with a fresh batch of seeds! Not even broken tools could stop us from working hard. We had an overall great outcome!

On October 7th and October 14th Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Harlingen, Texas. Our members helped bake, wash trays, and assisted with household chores.

Rockport's Restoration 2017
From August 28th to September 1st the members of SHH conducted a district wide drive to help those affect by Hurricane Harvey in Rockport, Texas and were able to raise 2133 items.

On August 5, 2017 Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica volunteered at the Spanish Meadows nursing home. Sociedad members held a lotería game along with an arts and crafts section that allowed for them to interact with the residents who in turn rewarded them with an overall memorable experience!

La Posada Providencia: Drive 4 UR Community
Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica volunteered at La Posada Providencia's Boggus Ford Fundraiser in Harlingen, Texas on July 22, 2017. Our members helped promote the event by holding signs and directing test drivers. Overall, we were able to help La Posada raise $2,000 to replace their current means of transportation!

Break the Box Campaign
On May 15 & 29 of 2017, members of Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica participated in two Break the Box campaign workshops.
Students were asked to create a symbol to represent themselves and who they are.
Members created artwork based on their experiences during the sessions.
