Kassandra
Ramos

Kassandra Ramos attended the Engaged Scholar Symposium which is the largest multidisciplinary gathering of undergraduate scholars in South Texas and was conceived to share and celebrate multidisciplinary undergraduate research, service learning projects, and creative works. Every year undergraduate students submit their undergraduate research, creative works, or service learning projects to compete for awards at the Engaged Scholar Symposium (ES2). It is over 200 submissions and over 50 judges in 2017. The projects may be submitted into four divisions: Poster Presentation, Oral Presentation, Performance, and the Art Gallery. To be eligible to compete, the project-lead and first author must be an undergraduate student. Kassandra Ramos did an Oral Presentation over her research paper, her topic was “The Power of Teamwork in a Community to Save Lower Income Students.” She entered the undergraduate competition and only 3 were picked. She was one of those 3 and they had to present their paper to 3-4 judges. She won 1st place and was awarded a Distinguished Scholar certificate.
